Methane hydrates are not expected to make a significant contribution to the world's energy mix – at least in the short to medium-term, according to an oilman with multinational projects under his belt.
“I think we are still quite far away from a commercial solution,” GDF Suez Exploration & Production International chief executive Didier Holleaux told the World Petroleum Congress in Moscow.
