The country's National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) has extended the deadline to request data room access from this month to 10 June.
Interested companies will also have until that date to register to submit bids.
Operators will also have two extra weeks, until 4 November, to finalise their bidding consortia.
Officials have planned the opening of bids for 5 December for licence contracts in four blocks in the Perdido fold-belt and six blocks in the Salina del Istmo basin.
