The fire was found in a pump but“the situation was resolved after a few minutes”, a Statoil spokesman was quoted as saying by local publication Stavanger Aftenblad.
A total of 102 workers gathered at mustering stations when the alarm sounded at 18:30 on the semi-submersible production facility but were not evacuated and were able to return to their posts shortly afterwards when the situation was normalised around 19:00, according to the spokesman.
