Local reports in recent days have said the two were working on a deal that would see MISC, controlled by state-run Malaysian oil company Petronas, sell its floater business to Bumi Armada in exchange for shares in the company.
However, in a one-sentence statement released by Misc on Tuesday, the company said: “In response to recent market speculation, MISC wishes to state that the company is not in any discussions with Bumi Armada Berhad on any potential transaction.”
