Beach revealed in its monthly drilling report that preliminary interpretation of wireline logs from the Jute-1 well, in PEL 101, indicated about 19 metres of net conventional pay.
This included 14 metres in the primary target Patchawarra formation, along with two metres in the Toolachee formation, one metre in the Epsilon formation, and two metres in the Tirrawarra sandstone.
Beach added several zones within the well also indicated the potential for unconventional pay within tight sands and thick coals.
