The latest tally from industry association Norwegian Oil & Gas (Norog) includes further lay-offs at oilfield service contractors Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes and Oceaneering after the near two-week-old strike started on 21 September.
Norog said a number of other companies not directly involved in the strike are also being hit.
The Norwegian Shipowners’ Association has warned that as many as 1700 workers could be laid off temporarily as a result of the stoppage.
