The US Bureau of Safety & Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) said in an update on Tuesday that some 352,946 barrels per day of crude output has been shut in, equivalent to about 22% of daily production.

About 346 million cubic feet of gas production has also been curtailed, or just over 10% of the US Gulf's daily average.

Meanwhile, more operators are clearing their workers from harm's way, as a total of nine manned platforms in the US Gulf have been evacuated.
