Vaalco said on Thursday that the lower electrical submersible pump (ESP) on its Avouma 2-H well has failed after only a few weeks since it was fixed.
The company said it has attempted to restart the lower ESP “without success and the well is temporarily shut-in pending a workover”.
The ESP on Avouma 2-H failed in late July but was then successfully started in August.
