London-listed Sound Energy has drilled a second successful well at the Tendrara licence onshore Morocco.

Sound revealed Thursday it had achieved a gas flow rate at the TE-7 well of 32 million cubic feet per day, towards the end of the clean up process and post stimulation, adding it was above pre-drill expectations.

Based on the clean up phase, Sound predicts the well’s potential could be significantly above 40 MMcfd with a 50% drawdown.

The company now plans to carry out an extended well test on TE-7 to confirm production sustainability and to aid its comprehensive field development planning.
