London-listed Mosman Oil & Gas and an unidentified privately-owned player are hoping to snap up the producing Rimu, Kauri and Manutahi fields in the onshore Taranaki basin.
Following the deal, it is envisaged that Mosman will own 40% of the fields – which together form one project and will be renamed the South Taranaki Energy Project (STEP) – while the mystery partner will hold the remaining 60%.
