Brazilian authorities have issued a total of 16 warrants on foot of the latest phase of the so-called Lava Jato investigation, which is actually an offshoot of the 22nd phase of the probe.
The latest phase looks at “clandestine operations” to hide ownership of offshore bank accounts, with evidence suggesting cash funneled off from deals involving the state oil giant were involved.
