MTU is a unit of Germany’s Tognum Group, which makes diesel engines, fuel cells and gas turbines among other products.
MTU said the engineering and research facility was the first to be established outside Tognum’s headquarters in Friedrichshafen, Germany, and will focus on engine development work.
The offices will also allow MTU India to consolidate its sales and after-sales operations in India.
