Murphy said in its latest results the gas discovery was made earlier this month at the Permai prospect, "our eighth consecutive success in the area around the Rotan field floating LNG project".
Rotan is the host field for the Rotan vessel, also known as PFLNG2, under construction at Samsung Heavy Industries’ yard in South Korea.
Murphy is the operator of Block H, but Petronas is in charge of the FLNG aspect.
