The prominent militant group said it blew up a section of NNPC's gas pipeline at Nsit-Ibom in Akwa Ibom State at 11:30pm local time on Sunday.
There has been no confirmation from the state-owned player of the assault. Upstream has sought clarification from NNPC on the alleged incident.
If correct, the attack would represent a second attack on NNPC infrastructure in relatively quick succession and another assault in Akwa Ibom State from the NDA.
