Port Cameron plans to build a new port complex on 500 acres along the Calcasieu Ship Channel in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. There is another 750 acres available for future expansion.
Construction is due to begin in November and is expected to take four years to complete.
The company believes that the port's proximity to current and future shelf and deep-water offshore oil and gas exploration will help operators reduce operational costs and risk.
