US player Newfield Exploration has reached a deal to sell its 12% non-operated interest in a producing field in Bohai Bay off China after previously failing to find a buyer.
Newfield said in a securities filing this week that it signed a sales agreement on 23 January with "certain of our joint venture partners" to sell the Bohai Bay stake for about $39 million.
