Australia’s LNG capacity currently sits at 24 million tpa which comes from three projects – North West Shelf LNG, Darwin LNG and Pluto LNG.

However, with seven projects under construction and due to come online over the coming years, it will see that figure rise to 86 million tpa by 2017.

If project expansions go ahead at Darwin LNG, Gorgon, Pluto and Ichthys a further 18 million tpa will be added to the nation’s export capacity, while prospective projects such as Browse, Scarborough, Sunrise and Cash Maple could potentially add an additional 24 million tpa by the end of the decade.
