Nigerian police have launched a search for the man in the area of Owa Oyibo, where he was abducted.
MAE said in a statement in Romanian that its embassy in Abuja is in constant contact with the engineer’s family, who has been notified of the kidnapping, and with local authorities, who are conducting the search.
The man was named in local reports as Cristian Nedelcu, who was working for Dextron Nigeria - a local engineering and construction player focused on the oil and gas industry.
