The company told the London Stock Exchange on Thursday its Big Sky 4-11 well in the Denver-Julesburg basin encountered a substantial oil column in the Mississippian Spergen formation, with test results indicating a production potential of 200 to 300 barrels per day.
Nighthawk said the find also confirmed the north-east extension of the Arikaree Creek oilfield, discovered by the company’s Steamboat hansen 8-10 well in October last year.
