Approval for the envisaged giant development was handed to the US independent by the petroleum commissioner in Israel's Ministry of National Infrastructure, Energy and Resources, Noble said on Thursday.

Noble had been waiting for plan approval since it revised its development option for the field in February and since it recently overcame a legislative impasse.
