Israel's state-owned electric utility is expected to source about 2.7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas under the agreement generating a minimum of $18 billion for Tamar field partners.

The Israeli company, which will use the fuel to provide electricity for Israel, also has the option to expand the agreement quantity to about 3.5 Tcf.

The deal will depend on government approval, which Noble said was expected – Noble chief executive Charles Davidson saying he looked forward to the start up of gas deliveries.
