FOGL told the London Stock Exchange on Tuesday that the first shoot, completed over the mid-Cretaceous Diomedia fan complex in a licence area south of the Falkland Islands, gathered more data than was originally planned.
The 5235 square kilometres of acquired data is now being processed and is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
FOGL said the data would be used to begin prospect mapping and well planning.
