The rig owner announced the contract in its second-quarter earnings report this week.
It is a one-well contract and includes unspecified options "for a drilling assignment offshore Suriname".
The new contract will commence "in direct continuation of the rig's current contract".
Noble Bob Douglas is currently under contract with Anadarko Petroleum in the US Gulf of Mexico through mid-February next year at a dayrate of $635,000.
