Local partner Delek Group revealed that the Petroleum Commissioner at the Ministry of Infrastructures, Energy & Water had not recognised the gas field as a discovery.
“The licence partners are of the opinion that they have found a discovery that entitles them to receipt of a lease in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Law, and accordingly they intended to review the legal options available to them to realise their rights in respect of the licence, including filing an appeal on the Commissioner's decision,” Delek said.
