In line with its theme,this year's ONS conference in Stavanger opened on Monday with discussions from industry heavyweights on the "transitioning nature of energy", and where the industry is headed.
The ceremony was attended by Norway's Crown Prince Haakon, who officially inaugurated talks, alongside Statoil's chief executive Eldar Saetre, Shell chief executive Ben van Beurden, ConocoPhillips chief executive Ryan Lance and the new chief executive of Brazilian player Petrobras Pedro Parente, and vice chairman of IHS Markit Daniel Yergin, also took part in the event.
