A pay settlement was finally reached for oilfield service workers on Tuesday that will even out the wage disparity with other oil workers, the union said in a statement.
IE, the country’s biggest offshore union with 6500 members, had earlier refused to accept a unilaterial agreement reached by the Safe union with industry organisation Norwegian Oil & Gas (Norog) for 600 workers that it deemed less favourable than a subsequent deal for staff at operator companies.
