A spud date of December has been estimated by partner Solo Oil for the Ntorya-2 well, which will be drilled using the Caroil-2 rig that is now being mobilised from the site of the discovery about 1500 metres away.
Drilling is expected to take between 45 and 60 days.
The follow-up probe being drilled updip of the discovery in the Ruvuma production sharing contract area is targeting additional estimated resources at 1 trillion cubic feet of undiscovered gas in place, according to Solo.
