Schlumberger subsidiary WesternGeco and Norway-based Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) were handed contracts by the UK Oil & Gas Authority (OGA) in July to carry out the second round of a £20 million ($27 million) acquisition programme with the aim of boosting ailing exploration levels.
An OGA spokesperson confirmed the three-month acquisition programmes, which also began in July, were wrapped up last weekend and data reprocessing is now getting under way.
