The state player and partner Government Holdings Private made the gas discovery at the Aradin-1 wildcat on the Khewari licence.
The well was drilled to 4270 metres and made the find in the Lower Goru (Massive Sands) formation.
The well tested at 5.1 million cubic feet of gas per day. Although OGDC did not give a size of the discovery, it said it had unearthed “substantial reserves”.
