The Karachi-based company made the find at the Thal West 1 well in Sukhur district in Sindh province, it said on Tuesday.
The well was drilled to 3983 metres to test the hydrocarbon potential in the basal sands of the Lower Goru formation.
OGDC said “significant” hydrocarbon reserves were found, with the well producing 17.2 million cubic feet per day of gas.
