Oil Basins will now be required to carry out A$581,000 (US$477,000) worth of geophysical and geological studies, instead of a A$35 million well requirement by the end of next year.
The previous five year work programme included the drilling of an exploration well by 15 November 2015, which has now been successfully replaced with more studies designed to enhance the gas prospectivity of the permit.
