ExxonMobil has de-booked 3.3 billion barrels of proved oil reserves, including the entirety of its Kearl oil sands project in Canada, in one of the biggest such reductions in the supermajor's history.

That leaves ExxonMobil with 20 billion barrels of oil equivalent in proved reserves worldwide, as of the end of 2016.
