There is about 10 trillion cubic feet of combined proven and probable contingent undeveloped gas resources in the Elk-Antelope and P’nyang fields, according to Oil Search.
That total exceeds the resource that underpinned the original PNG LNG project development when that project was sanctioned in 2009.
Proven contingent resources within the Elk-Antelope and P’nyang are estimated at more than 6 Tcf, which is sufficient to underpin LNG marketing and project financing for two extra trains, added Oil Search.
