Rig 104 started drilling the Trapia 1 well – which targets Toro and Digimu sandstones on 4 June, the company said.
The well is 13 kilometres east of the Angore gas field and 23 kilometres east of the Hides gas field.
Oil Search is drilling the well – holding a 52.5% interest in Trapia 1 – under contract with Esso, operator of the contract over PRL 11 where the well is situated.
