“For the first time in two years, firms reported rising business activity and revenues last quarter,” Chad Wilkerson, vice president at the Oklahoma City Branch of the Fed. “On average, though, firms need energy prices to be slightly higher than recent prices in order to be profitable.”
The Oklahoma City Branch is responsible for the Fed’s 10th District, which includes major producing states like Colorado, Oklahoma and Wyoming as well as the northern half of New Mexico.
