Under the agreement OMV’s subsidiary in Romania, OMV Petrom, will transfer the fields, as well as three workover rigs and associated crews, to Mazarine.
The deal is expected to complete in the fourth quarter of the year, when Mazarine will assume operatorship of the fields and employment of over 200 staff currently employed by OMV.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
