OMV revealed Friday it had awarded the Norwegian company the contract to carry out the system upgrade which, including engineering, equipment and construction, is estimated to cost about NZ$60 million (US$40.2 million).
The upgrade will involve inspection and work on all eight of the Raroa FPSO's mooring lines which are permanently anchored to the sea floor, 100 metres below the surface.
