The system comprises a trio of retrievable three-megawatt single-phase pump modules and is installed in about 7000 feet of water, the contractor said in a statement on Monday.

"Our subsea boosting technology is enabling the customer to optimise production from one of the world's deepest subsea reservoirs,"

OneSubsea did not disclose its customer or the location of the project, but only a handful of fields in the Gulf of Mexico come close to the cited depth.

Chevron's
