Subsea technology company Optime Subsea has been awarded a contract to supply a hyperbaric testing system to Germany’s Nautilus Marine Service.
The 19,000-psi hyperbaric pressure vessel will be built in Notodden, Norway, and be able to stimulate hydrostatic pressures found at water depths up to 13,000 metres.
“The system enables us to increase the efficiencies of our testing with little impact on the system lifetime, making this an investment that will provide increased value for our customers immediately and increased returns for us within a short period of time,” Nautilus managing director Steffen Pausch said.
