Energy consultancy company EnergyQuest revealed in its monthly LNG report that Australia’s LNG exports rose 18.5% in June to 3.6 million tonnes, up 560,000 tonnes on May’s figures.

It attributed the increase to strong contributions from the North West Shelf and Pluto plants in Western Australia, as well as the Queensland Curtis LNG project in Gladstone on the east coast.

EnergyQuest also noted that the six LNG plants currently in operation around Australia all maintained high levels of production in June, with many operating above nameplate capacity.
