Pantheon said on Friday that it could start drilling for shale gas at the VOS-1 well as early as August.
"Pantheon cautions that this estimate is to be considered for guidance only and is dependent upon factors outside of its control. Results will be announced once flow testing operations are completed," the company said.
The US company has a 50% working interest in several projects in Tyler and Polk Counties in Texas, including the VOS1 well, which tested at 750 barrels of oil equivalent per day earlier this year.
