The mid-water drillship, Paragon's DPDS1, will now be moved to the Gulf of Mexico where it will be stacked, Paragon said in an updated presentation.

Petrobras released the drillship on 30 November, about 154 days before its contract was up in May of next year. That equates to a backlog of $44.7 million at a dayrate of $290,000.

Instead, Petrobras will use semisub MSS2 for the work at a dayrate of $273,000, and the backlog will be transferred to the semisub.
