The Houston-based rig owner noted a steady climb in the average number of units it had working during the period.
For the three months to the end of September, Patterson-UTI’s average rig count in the US was 60 and two in Canada. This was up from 55 in the US and less than one in Canada in the second quarter. For the whole of October it expects an average in the US of 63, with Canada remaining at two.
