Abu Dhabi player Taqa has issued the US independent and ShaMaran with default notices claiming that their respective subsidiaries in the block have failed to pay their full participating interest shares of July and August cash calls, the Canadian junior said on Monday.

ShaMaran said its subsidiary, General Exploration Partners (GEP), and Taqa “are in disagreement as to the correct interpretation of participating interest share of Atrush cash calls,” which are payable under the joint operating agreement (JOA).
