In addition to global shales, still-untapped reserves of heavy oil being developed by companies including Venezuelan state company PDVSA will help contribute to fulfill global energy demand, according to vice president of exploration and production Eulogio Antonio del Pino Diaz.
“The unconventional has become more and more conventional, during especially the last 15 years,” del Pino told a panel audience on Tuesday.
