The move kicks off the long-expected process for Mexico's state-led oil company to take on partners to help share risks and rewards following reforms to open the country's oil sector.
"Pemex no longer has to go it alone," chief executive Jose Antonio Gonzalez Anaya told a news conference in Mexico City that was transmitted over the Internet.
