The companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to “combine resources and expertise” on the engineering and design of brownfield oil and gas projects, Selangor-based Petra said in a statement to the stock exchange in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
Petra subsidiary Petra Resources will co-operate and collaborate with Kuala Lumpur-based MMC on the design and detailed engineering scope of potential developments, with the two pursuing a contractor/subcontractor relationship – although it was not specified which role each company would fill.
