US player NRG Energy and its partners have switched on a $1 billion carbon capture project that is set aid enhanced recovery at an oilfield on the US Gulf in Texas.
Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi Heavy Industries completed the start-up of the Petra Nova CO2 Capture System project at the WA Parish coal-fired generating station in Thompsons, Texas, which is billed as the world’s largest post-combustion CO2 capture and compression system.
