Malaysia’s state-owned Petronas has handed a five-year contract to Petra Energy for the provision of hook up, commissioning and topsides major maintenance services.

The offshore support vessel operator reported to the Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday that its wholly-owned subsidiary Petra Resources had secured the deal, which is due to expire in May 2018.

The company did not disclose the value of the contract but said it was expected to contribute positively to Petra’s earnings and net assets per share for the duration of the contract.
