Houston-based Diamond revealed on Thursday that it received notice of termination of the contract for the Ocean Valor from Petrobras on 30 August.
The Rio de Janeiro-based player had the 2009-built semisub on contract until October 2018, having extended the deal two years ago.
However, Diamond's fleet status report has now been updated to reflect that the contract was terminated in late August.
